Showdown for Sturgill Preview

TOMORROW NIGHT NWA Smoky Mountain debuts at Sullivan South High School in Kingsport, TN for the Showdown for Sturgill. Proceeds from this event will go to Sullivan South Football Coach Chris Sturgill, who is currently battling cancer.

All tickets for this event are “first come, first serve” and they will be available when the doors open for the event at 6:00 PM. This event has a special 7:00 PM Bell Time, so make sure you get there early so you don’t miss a minute of the action.

Former Sullivan South High School Football players The Jones Boys (Cooper & Hogan Jones) will represent their school against The Savages (Skylar Kruze & Gavin Daring) in the Main Event of the evening. Kruze & Daring are graduates of Elizabethton High School, one of South’s biggest rivals. The Savages have gotten several wins over The Jones Boys throughout the area. The Jones Boys are hoping to use their “home field” advantage to finally get the one up on The Savages.

It took Chase Owens five years to finally wrestle the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Championship away from Jason Kincaid. Owens has vowed to be a defending champion and thus far he has lived up to that promise. Chase has already had successful title defense all over the East Coast. But The Crown Jewel’s biggest challenge may be right here at home. “The Giant” Travis Lee will be the first man to challenge Chase Owens for the title in an NWA Smoky Mountain ring. Will Owens be able to the task to slay The Giant tomorrow night?

Ever since Toby Farley defeated Vince Brent for the NWA Mountain Empire Title back in December, manager Dylan Wayne Sizemore has been trying to bring the championship back to The Agency. Former NWA Smoky Mountain TV Champion “Picture Perfect” Jordan Kage is the latest Agency member who will attempt to defeat Farley for the title. Who will come out on top in this battle of two on NWA Smoky Mountain’s best?

School of Morton stand-outs and South High School Alumni The Cross Brothers (Christian & Aden) will once against face off with their rivals Los Chicanos (John & Jeff Castro) in a re-match from their spectacle match last week in Sneedville. Los Chicanos were defeated last week and now they want to get their revenge by defeating The Cross Brothers in front of their friends and family.

In Other Action…

New NWA Smoky Mountain TV Champion Chris Richards turned down Axton Ray and his challenge for a rematch for the championship. Richards says he will defend the title at a time of his choosing. Richards & manager Dylan Wayne Sizemore have handpicked an opponent to face Axton Ray tomorrow night in Kingsport. Who will it be?

Robbie Cassidy and The G-Squad (Tyler Foshie & Austin West) take on their rivals Wild Bill & The Hardliners (Jeff Connelly & Bryan Montgomery) in Six-Man Tag Team Action. Cassidy & his proteges have had their share of problems Travis Dykes and company over the past 6 months. They look to even this score tomorrow night.

“The Human Action Figure” Ali Shabazz will take on Austin Tyler Morris in a rematch from House Party 2017.
